Project Cedar
Project Cedar is a safe haven for a young family nestled into a wooded pocket of land in Huntsville.
When designing this home, the inspiration mostly came from the incredible woods the home is enveloped in. It was more than just bringing the outdoors in, it was about telling the story of how nature makes us feel.
Throughout the home, organic shades, forms and playful elements are showcased. So much of nature is disguised from plain sight, throughout the home you will discover hidden doors, integrated appliances and induction cooktop concealed within the countertop.
The lighting selections bring a modern whimsy to each room, my favourite being the pendants over the island hanging at varied heights creating an organic whisper of whimsy.
Within the primary ensuite, you will find a beautiful floating fireplace anchoring the room. The tiles throughout the ensuite and walk-in-closet create an immense amount of texture and depth contrasting against the structured floating vanity.
This home is a true work of art with so many layers, just like the nature which surrounds its walls.
